Headshot Styling

Preparing for your shoot: Our goal is for you to walk out the door feeling confident in the person you portrayed to the camera. To ensure this, our photographers will guide you through the entire experience, from helping you with clothing selection to directing your facial expression, posture, and body movements.

Grooming tips for men: Nice clean nails and a recent shave are best. Beards or second-day scruff can add some personality if it is well maintained. Make sure your hair is neatly styled and brushed.

Grooming tips for women: If possible, make sure your hair color and style remain true to your daily look. Now is not the time to consider a drastic make-over. Makeup should be natural but with a bit more emphasis on the eyes to make them pop.

Clothing: Clothing should be well-fitting, ironed, and lint/animal hair-free. Don’t be afraid of color and patterns as they bring life to an outfit. Blazers photograph well on all body types and the classic black dress is always a great go-to for every woman.

Accessories: A great watch or statement necklace can be the perfect way to finish an outfit. Please avoid long necklaces: mid-length or close to the neck is best for photographs.

If you wear glasses, consider wearing a frame without lenses or not wearing your glasses in the photographs to reduce glare.
