It’s Ivory House’s 6 Year Anniversary and I’m feeling GENEROUS.

Six years ago during the week of my 29th birthday, I took a huge risk and moved home to Des Moines to start Ivory House Photography. That risk has turned into one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever given myself. It’s the gift I keep on giving myself that provides me community, connection, purpose, personal freedom, and financial stability.

I have a lot to be grateful for and to celebrate my 35th birthday and the 6th anniversary of Ivory House Photography, I’ve created a GENEROSITY CAMPAIGN.

What is a GENEROSITY CAMPAIGN, you ask?

A GENEROSITY CAMPAIGN is designed for the purpose of making a massive impact, both on myself, my community, and my world. What I’ve learned through the last 6 years of business ownership is that it’s not enough to simply give away my money, time, or resources. As I’ve learned to be open to receiving, my capacity to give has expanded past my wildest dreams.

So in this campaign, I will stretch my capacity to give AND receive.

I am committed to donating up to $1000 of my own personal money to the Food Bank of Iowa to celebrate my 35th birthday and my 6 year anniversary of Ivory House. I could just write this check, but my preference in life is to do this as a team, so I’m inviting you all to play along.

There are THOUSANDS of you in this community whom I’ve photographed. I WANT TO SEE THEM. And on top of that, I would love to know how I have made a positive impact on your life.

POSTING REQUESTS

  1. 1. Post a photo I’ve taken of you, a selfie of the two of us, OR if you don’t have either, post a photo of yourself and share how I’ve impacted you.

    2. Posts can be on your Facebook page, Instagram grid, LinkedIn feed, or all three. For every generous post created that tags @ivoryhousephotography and @whitneywarne, I will donate $1 to the Food Bank of Iowa. $10 at the Food Bank generates a week's worth of meals for a food-insecure Iowan.

    3. $1 at the Food Bank generates 4 meals for an Iowan in need. Post on three platforms, and together we will generate 12 meals.

    4. #WWGenerosity to allow us to follow only on this campaign.

This campaign starts TODAY and runs till Sunday at midnight. So what do you say, team? Can we donate $1000 and create 100 weeks of meals for food insecure Iowans?!?!

WHY THE FOOD BANK OF IOWA?

1. My mom, Michelle Book is the CEO of the FBOI.

2. This week is also her birthday and her 6 year anniversary of becoming CEO. You can tell this is a big week in our lives.

3. The Food Bank’s mission is highly aligned with my personal values of meeting people’s basic needs so they can live with purpose and passion. When we don’t have enough food, we can’t possibly think about being generous.

4. The Food Bank is highly effective with every dollar raised, ensuring that our donation with stretches generously to as many people as possible. Every 10 dollars we donate creates a week of meals for an Iowan in need.
